Honestly if you wanted to you would. Unless you’re an investment banker or a lawyer/law student or any grad student for that matter. You make the time to see people you want to see and you clearly don’t want to see this person. Be upfront.

I am a student who works three jobs and I am VERY upfront about when I have time to hang out or not. And if I hang out with someone nearly every day of the week I think it's reasonable to ask for ONE DAY to do my actual work

I see where I may have misjudged you and am sorry for my mistake. With further context, I can actually say I agree with you, that is in fact weird. In my defense, I thought you were saying you were busy and that was your whole excuse when in actuality you just didn’t want to see them.
