only cares about sexual side of gay men, always prying for those details if they have gay friends, calling them remarks that could be demeaning, constant comparisons to media popular with gay fetishizers (hannibal, heated rivalry, stranger things, etc), etc. ask me how i know 🫩

Ah I see. I’m like, is it bad to want a gay (best) friend for the purpose that they are not going to hit on me, they’re a safe person with similar experiences, and share more interests than straight me I guess “want” isn’t the right word, I’m not actively seeking out gay men 😭 but I’d be more inclined to be friends with a gay guy because of what I mentioned above.

nah that's not bad at all! from my perspective that just sounds like wanting a friend you know won't do you wrong by creeping on you. and as a mostly gay man i'm always happy to be exactly that for my girl friends and they friends

See that could also be a comfort thing! Some people prefer being friends with gay men because they feel like they’d be safer with them! The context that I’m saying is gross: “an obsessive, irrational, or excessive obsession” Their obsession with gay men is what I believe to be gross
