I’m in the same boat :) didn’t get anything for Valentine’s even though we’ve been together for 3 years. He’s poor and I love him, but he could’ve literally gotten me flowers or even made a card. Absolutely nothing for me

It’s easier said than done and he has a lot going on, it’s not like he’s actively avoiding getting me something. We still have birthday plans for me next week at least :)

Yeah, but he still could’ve tried. If he’s not actively giving your life more of a sparkle then why are you with him? You both should be building each other up. Relationships go through ups and downs, but if he can’t buy you something from the dollar tree what’s the point? it doesn’t take a lot. he didn’t wanna put an effort.

I just feel bad, you know? He’s been through a lot financially like this past year he had to pay some for two funerals and I don’t want to seem like an ungrateful bitch for it, it’s just that every other year he’s at least gotten me chocolate and flowers 😭
