It’s true. I’ve already said this on another community but I’m a MAJOR F1 fan. I go to a bar to watch races at a bar sometimes. I’m there for the Azerbaijani GP, raging asshole, at least twice my age, try and pull that shit with me. Bartender steps in, moves me closer to him, get a free soda. Dude comes at me AGAIN trying to test my technical knowledge. I proceeded to school his ass on how badly his team was fucking up with their aerodynamics that it’s astonishing they were higher than last.

I watch for Alex and it’s a very well known college bar in major city but most of the people who come to watch F1 are at least 30. I am consistently the youngest person there and I didn’t start going there until I was legally allowed. Also idgaf what someone’s sexuality is, if someone is giving a play by play of what they’d do to a driver, well anyone really, is disgusting. And the bartenders are not afraid to kick people like that out of the bar. Especially where I live.

There are some guys still out there like that but most of them suffer from cases of being insufferable little bitches with fragile masculinity. Some as far as forming antiparasocial relationships with athletes. Which is just as bad if not worse than parasocial.
