
oh i def agree w/ you, but that’s beside the point. whether or not you agree w/ all of them, the requirements are still there and it’s YOUR job as a prospective student to read through all of them and make sure they’re doable before you commit to the program. it’s not the school’s fault if you get blindsided by smth bc you didn’t bother to inform yourself before enrolling
ok clearly you’re just here to argue. i’m not saying there is zero context in which people are allowed to complain — i think there are def some programs that need changing. but, as i stated in my specific example below the og post, i was talking about people blaming the schools for things the schools themselves have no control over and cannot change. their anger and frustration needs to be directed at the governing body (in this case the AVMA) instead of the school
also, if enough requirements bother you or there’s one or more that are a big deal, perhaps you should have chosen another major, even if you were passionate about your og choice. the amount of people i see complaining about math and wondering why it’s required in a medical course is concerning
Yeah, the schools are a part of a larger accreditation structure, but you’re ignoring that the SCHOOLS ARE A PART of that larger structure. Like, when I complain about some random republican being weird, no one’s gonna say “oh well you should really take that up with the party, that person doesn’t decide what the party believes”.
