i posted smth similar in girl talk recently about how referring to women as “females” in a non-medical/forensic/etc. context was super icky to me and literally the first person to comment on it went on some huge rant about how i need to “stop getting offended over an everyday word and expecting people to change their vocabulary for me” and they swore at me a bunch lmao. they got downvoted so much their comments got deleted thankfully
