It depends though. If you join a cause but know nothing about it or know how to actually supper the people affected then you can do more harm than good. Ie my friend defending trans rights so violently that she was insensitive to our friend who transitioned but then found out they had mental illnesses and that’s why they never felt right, then they wanted to detransition. Or supporting wars without doing research to know that you’re supporting people who are torturing civilians
