I saw a hot take recently and i 100% will stand by it. Jesus did not suffer more than black slaves in America. not even close.

The mythology did a terrible job of trying to scare people with its depictions of abuse. So many have gone through much, much worse.

I think it's a very silly debate. It's one of those questions that entirely depends on whether you believe in God and yet people act like they can actually have a productive conversation about it with someone on the other side. You can't.

Jesus at the level of theology suffered the sorrows of all sin such that he could have mercy for all. This was his meditation in Gethsemane. He was condemned by his own people, the Jews, when they chose Barabbas over him. You are comparing the physical experience of thousands to the physical experience of one man. This is a flimsy hot take, it does not hold up to scrutiny even if on some level to you it “feels” true.

And yet he didn’t stay dead and nothing changed, so…

Even from a secular standpoint considering the history of the HRE alone, the idea that nothing changed as a result of Jesus’ death is laughably absurd. Utterly shallow interpretation of events from literally all conceivable angles.

Keep playing pretend all you want, your mythology is just that.
