Saw a debate on TikTok about the Gen Z stare in customer service
Hot Take: it’s not Gen Z’s fault that previous generational employees would let customers walk all over them. I’m here to help, not be spoken down to.
The best explanation I’ve heard for the Gen Z stare is it’s the employee trying their hardest not to crash out at the customer for their entitlement and/or inability to listen.

I haven't seen it be described as only with rude people, which I would totally understand. I've seen it described as a blank expression with a bland tone and lack of ability to even fake caring

Exactly and who made this system that customers are allowed to be assholes and employees just have to accept it?
