the amount of people normalizing eugenics is fucking weird. disabled/differently abled people live fulfilling lives and it is NOT for you to decide how valuable someone with a disability’s life is.

Agreed. But I do think it is a different story if you’re trying to conceive or having a baby. Coming from someone who is disabled and has a family with it, as much as I want children I never want a child to grow up and live the life I have. I do have a fulfilling life, but it’s not the life I want my own child to have. So gene editing and that kind, I do understand.

Absolutely. They can’t identify specific genes for me, but suspect they’re genetic. Since it likely could be passed down, adoption seems the route I’d go.
