I disagree. I think anything that you can not change (like race and gender) should not be considered for admitting you to college or a job etc. military is voluntary and can be done by anyone no matter their race or gender etc. but it does say something about you if you join the military. Your race and gender doesn’t

Understood. I agree with your reasoning. I see it just as a job and should be treated the same and put in your past job experience and just not singled out as an explicit question (unless the job you’re applying for is directly related)
