I get you want to record your “workout session” for your whatever social media. But there are people in the gym who have real issues with the way they feel about their body and being on camera even in the background makes the gym no longer safe.

Bro I literally go out with sun glasses and a hot to not get recognized in public and I still do, the gym is the one safe space I want 😭 let me sweat in peace

I get the right to film in public. But everyone’s so obsessed with “me me me” they forget about everyone else. There’s no empathy anymore.

It turns people away from the gym when they walk in and everyone has their phone on a stand. I especially think it’s such a shitty thing to do to flip out on someone when they’re approached an asked very politely to not film. As if the $20 a month they pay or whatever for a membership means they own the gym. The gym should be a community. For physical AND mental health.
