Personally I can almost always break down why I have a certain opinion even if I wasn't consciously thinking of the reasons when I formed the opinion

They are logically defensible. You can claim they are purely subjective and defend that using logic thereby defending your original opinion.

Subjectivity can be proven through logical reasoning. In terms of color, for example, “every brain processes colour uniquely, and therefore colour is not something that can be universally agreed upon”. That makes your subjectivity valid. Most of the time, this isn’t the case.
