i’m sorry but this is such a load of bullshit. i’m tired of pretending like there aren’t fundamental biological differences between the male and female reproductive system.

As someone who is queer and woke for the most part, this is one queer/woke talking point that I do not understand at all... Like I get that trans men and afab nonbinary people can have periods of course because they have a uterus, that's common sense. And I also get that trans women can experience some period-like symptoms from estrogen. But since they don't bleed, I think calling it a period with no asterisk is very subjective and misleading. And it's just a weird thing to focus on.

LIKE YES YOURE A WOMAN, BUT YOU DO NOTTTT HAVE THE ANATOMY TO MENSTRUATE. YOU NEED A UTERUS AND A UTERAL LINING THAT SHEDS EVERY MONTH. YOU HAVE A DICK AND BALLS GET OUT OF MY FACE!!

It’s weird. I’ll never understand wanting cramps to be acknowledged as periods lol. They’re extremely painful. So when I do see trans women claiming to experience menses, it’s almost like a slap in the face. There’s already so much miseducation surrounding women’s health-especially periods. Like come on now

This feels like bait lol. Hormones change many things in the body but you need a uterus to have a period. But there are actually some unexpected results of hormones, I heard that trans men on T can develop prostate tissue

Maybe they were referring to PMS-like symptoms that hormones can give you. But menstruation is not the right word for that
