Not everyone is meant to do something great, be a boss or leader or make an inspirational contribution to society.

Hot take: this isn’t actually a hot take and I don’t know how you people go on in life without believing in some potential behind virtually everyone. Everyone should seek to understand negativity in the world to know why it’s there. I can’t believe in a world with blind negative inevitabilities. Everything has a reason

Well yes but I think we should broaden our definition of what it means to contribute to society before we conclude that not everyone ought to contribute to society

I’ve always thought the same thing. This snd not everyone having a grand purpose. I don’t think everyone is meant to be here or do something great. What you can do, so can the next person-probably even better. I think we all have smaller purposes though. Like finishing a degree or idk, finishing a to do list

You may have misunderstood me a bit. I do believe everyone has an impact in this world and plays a role however not everyone is meant to be the hero or best there is. We need people to carry the simple things and jobs etc. the employees to a bosses company and so on. Negatively does not relate to my topic at all tho…

But I do think everyone is meant to be a leader. And most aren’t at the moment. Ai is going to take care of all the simple stuff imo. You’re either a true leader of your life or an npc. Negativity is relavent to your take because everyone reading your message in who’s in that position you just described were told, quite directly, that they won’t contribute much to society. Is there any view of success in life more tangible than contribution to society? Quite depressing in my view
