Hot Takes on Sidechat | I might be proven wrong by season 5 but for now I don't think Stranger Things has ever had a truly shocking and devastating character death. The writers are good at giving the illusion that the stakes are high, but at the end of the day they play it safe.

And yes I'm aware that a lot of fans were hurt by certain deaths which is why I posted this here. I think they were always pretty foreshown and only really happened to characters that were clearly expendable in the larger narrative (as likable as they may have been)

Nah gotta agree they add new characters every season but don’t really have the balls to kill them off. People they do kill off get introduced and die within the same season
