My bf and I are 18 and 19 and in college. We both go to church and love god and traditional roles in relationships a lot of my girl friends are pressuring me to lose my v card to him but I prefer his company than sex, is this weird? I feel so unc

I think if you want to wait until marriage, that’s great, you do you. I do think you should have a desire to jump his bones. If it’s too easy to be celibate, it might be a sign that you’re not actually attracted to him

girl your friends are pressuring you? that’s something i’d expect from his friends or people you don’t really know. kind of a red flag for the friendship if they aren’t respecting a boundary that doesn’t even involve them

Since you feel this way, you’ll be happy you waited. My friend who got married waited until then and they made the right decision for themselves

honestly crazy that YOUR friends are pressuring you or even bringing it up. shouldn’t be any of their business.

I am attracted to him, I’ve questioned all my life if I’m asexual I am so disinterested in sex and don’t really have as much desire

If you don’t have any desire you are not with the right man

you might just be asexual and there’s nothing wrong with that :) remember you don’t have to have sex ever, not just until marriage

Thank you, idk it just feels really weird like I’ve had 2 of my closest girl friends make me feel uncomfortable and they know I am a virgin and believe in god, to shut them down I just tell them I’m waiting but it feels so weird.

Thank you, and my boyfriend isn’t really instructed in sex either I feel like that’s normal for a godly relationship

honestly it resonates, I’ve been put in a similar position since me and my bf are also both religious and waiting, but at least it wasn’t people close to us. hopefully things get less awkward for you!
