I agree. I didn’t read it as “telling women they don’t know their own opinion”, I read it as a factual statement about subjectivity. But rereading it, I can see their point too, especially if they’ve gotten that a lot. But they definitely attributed some things to him that he did not say. His wording was a little unfortunate though.
