To be honest with you not really. I’d argue that elevated rapes is due to elevated exposure. Lots of young ppl together all under the use of mind altering substances is just a high risk scenario for rape/SA. For example, public school teachers rape and assault children at far higher rates than any other group of ppl. That’s not because of a “culture of rape” among public school teachers, it’s because of high exposure between adults and children

Well I’m sure there are absolutely instances where that’s happened, that isn’t something that broadly happens. Sometimes ppl feel it’s their duty to say or do anything to “support their friends” and I’d point right back to the teacher example. There has absolutely been instances when teachers have covered for each other over rape and SA allegations

It has to do with rich people getting away with everything. Greek life is rooted and still practices classism, elitism, racism, homophobia, exclusion, white supremacy, etc etc. and before you start arguing back no, that doesn’t mean that every single person in greek life thinks or acts this way but when you look at the orgs as a whole esp in big schools…

They keep it under wraps and only care if it gets out to hurt their “ reputation and image “. Frat boys at my school literally yell the n word to black people simply walking by and sororities will take a token woc in their pledge classes to save face yet still be racist

It’s literally just a group of ppl hanging out. All the other buzzwords u listed are just entirely in your head. They happen to be mostly be middle to upper class white kids but guess what that also describes the majority of college students in America. Ur tryna build something up to be bigger than it is purely because you have a grudge against society

I’m sure there are lots of great people who have a great experience in Greek life, but the institution itself has a lot of problems. There’s a reason people want to bring them up
