i’m talking about younger generations. there is a reason the stereotypes exist. that’s not to say ALL former service members are terrible. but more often than not, horror stories are heard about active personnel. my experiences with military men have unfortunately fit the stereotypes to a T, so yes i can admit i do have a bias, but i can also see the other side where not everyone is bad. and as for my credentials, i come from a military family as well, although foreign military.
believe me, i know how awful some, if not most, of them are. my man used to work in EO (dealing with harassment complaints and filing reports). i know how terrible some are. i agree the stereotypes do exist, but not ALL of them fit into it. i’d say those stereotypes apply to civilian men nowadays as well😭 it’s just overall being careful and having good judge of character.
my best friend is a brown girl, and she was assaulted by a white man and threatened afterwards. she reported him, my boyfriend told her where and how to safely. he also passed word around his base. 1- that’s the kind of man he is. 2-you CAN report them, and should. there’s a system set up for it. if you want help with how you can do so, dm me. intel does not care about race. they care about the reports and accusations made, and following through with them.
