I respect his influence and all that but his music mad never been very intriguing to me, even before the recent controversies. Kinda like how I can respect the Mona Lisa as an art piece but I’m not gonna like put it up in my house. It’s just the people who treat him like a god than irk me but I get why people like his music and I understand separating the art from the artist and all that.

Personally I just can’t separate the art from the artist because once they do some horrible shit the music becomes unrelatable and uninteresting to me. I’m no longer interested in the world it built and the motivations behind it. But I get everyone approaches art differently.

I see people bring it up every now and then but yeah it is weird how little press they’ve gotten. My guesses are either Kanye/ his team giving out hush money or the media just not really caring about him anymore bc they were relatively recent allegations. But who knows. You could be right and it could be credibility cuz it is just accusations but based on Kanye’s responses I’m leaning towards them being true. These are tweets he posted after some of the allegations came out last year

Kanye sounds “basic” to you because he is so influential and so many artists get inspiration from him😭he completely shifted hip hop away from the east/west coast boom nap style with gradation and the rap game has never been the same.
