Fun fact: My mother got high off her medical THC, had a psychotic break, and nearly put buckshot through my head a few years ago, except she couldn’t find the shells, so she sat mumbling to herself in the kitchen about “bad men from her past” with that fucking shotgun in her hand. THC is dangerous as hell.

Not at all. Most people have absolutely no issue with it. It’s typically only a threat if you have an underlying or previous condition.

She probably had underlying issues or undiagnosed mental health issues

Not defending THC, but it definitely can take a toll on individuals who take certain medications, etc. There's some doctors who don't pay attention to patient records and just assume it's fine since it's a "natural" substance.

THC can induce psychosis in predisposed individuals unfortunately. I’m glad you came out of that safe. Like all medicines, the potential side effects need to be weighed against the benefits for each individual

any medication can be dangerous if you take too much, and unfortunately there is no one babysitting an individually specific dosage for each patient the way the current system is set up. a medical marijuana card is a license to treat yourself with alternative medicine that is supposed to be only used when every other first-line treatment has failed, not a prescription. i’m sorry your mom had a bad reaction, but bad reactions are few and far between.
