carbon dating i get, you could determine the year of origin of the skull. but dna? do we have documented knowledge of her lineage for the past 2 millennium to compare it to?

I think they can only assume it was a woman from that area and time. Church doesn’t claim authenticity of the relic but it encourages the faithful to venerate the good things God has done in her life and other saints
