Can we please collectively start downvoting AI pictures in this? An image is not “hard” when you prompt a generator to make an image exactly as you describe it to be. That removes all originality and happenstance from the image…

Art is an explosion! Intensely expressive, spontaneous with no purpose besides conveying that feeling that you felt! Feelings vary, but it’s the only requirement. It can be anything! Don’t put your subjective parameters on what art should be 😤

And the person hardly feels anything when they make it. They may put on a show in order to trick themselves but there’s no work and no feeling of accomplishment through AI, rendering the “art process” completely useless.

AI is merely an apparatus. A means to an end. I don’t see Ai art any different than a musical artist having a ghost writer(been done for centuries in diff capacities). The creative direction is still 100% up to the creator regardless of the process.

Just because the creator doesn’t have emotion or can’t feel anything doesn’t mean it’s not art, that’s why scenes of mountains or the ocean can be beautiful without it having to be alive
