Granted of course, the heads were removed posthumously—you can see that they were either sprayed or doused prior to based on the dark patches around them

yes, but still it is very odd to take a dead corpse of a bug and use your time to decapitate them and set up a display. And of course I obviously knew they didn’t just decapitate them when they were alive! I never said they did! I was replying to a comment that said if I had been stung I would want them to suffer, which I wouldn’t!
