i know you say this jokingly but people will just straight up abuse people on psych wards and make their symptoms worse or just fail to do their job because they know that the patient has very little recourse

i know, my best friend has been twice and the horror stories were crazy. maybe suicide wouldn't be such an issue if talking about feeling suicidan didn't get you sent to the torture dungeon.

yeah i went a couple times and its just really awful especially if youre a person of color they’re just like cruel for no reason and it seriously impacts their ability to actually treat people. there are some good nurses or even whole units that are really well ran but its so hit or miss because of the shortage of beds and limited insurance coverage
