I may be a little wrong here, so if any history buffs wanna correct me please go ahead, but it’s not that we didn’t want to pay the taxes on tea, we were protesting the Tea Act of 1773 which gave the tea Monopoly to the British East India Company, which meant only their tea would be purchasable in the states, which would result in higher taxes. Could be wrong, not trying to discredit the meme just tryna spread awareness, also most high end politicians are pedos, but that is my opinion.

You don’t pay taxes to fund the gov. The government prints the amount of $ they think they’ll spend. Then they subtract the roughly 15% of taxed dollars. Then a % they printed stays out of circulation for the next fiscal year.
