The hardest part sometimes is leaving the house, so once you get that part out of the way things become much easier. The beautiful thing about the gym is that everyone is at a different place in their own fitness journey, so no one is particularly focused on competing with each other. Just know that if you’re getting out there and progressing there’s always something to be proud of, even on days where you feel bad and still pushed yourself to go to the gym. Wishing you all the best
I started my fitness journey in late May and although I haven’t lost any weight (lol), people at the gym don’t care about you like at all. Like all the bullying you see online is just online. People at the gym are so focused on themselves. At most you’ll get smth like “Lol I remember my first time using that machine 😂” or “are you new here i haven’t seen you around before?”
Honestly just start watching fitness TikToks/ reels. Great advice on form and function. I completely understand the anxiety part, what helped me the most was realizing everyone goes to the gym to get better and we all have our own starting points. No you don’t have a model body yet, that’s why it’s good to go to the gym. As for motivation I would say get a gym buddy. It really helps keep you accountable and makes it easier (especially when just starting out). You got this!
