how y’all find the initial motivation to hit the gym? everytime I start I go strong for a couple weeks but the motivation fizzles out. starting to think that it’s because I don’t see me looking how I want to and I just give up
It’s not about motivation. Motivation is fleeting. You need discipline and a goal

Find something rewarding about the gym. For me, especially during winter my favorite part is hitting the sauna for a bit, then running back to my car through the cold. Feels excellent when I’m back in my car and driving home.

Basically just make a routine that works for you. Als sometimes after a workout (I workout at night) I’d go to the 24 hour grocery store nearby and go cheese chopping.
