How do you get past that progress block? I eat healthy and feel like I have a pretty good diet for gaining muscle but I don’t feel like I’ve seen any progress or improvement in about a year now (ik I started out hella skinny)

I’m pretty consistent too, go 3-4 times a week

are you actually getting stronger or are you doing the same workouts for about the same weight every time?

Get a proper workout split and track in. I found that if I don’t track my workouts I end up just going in there and not actually pushing weight that’ll make me grow.

you need like a recomp not a bulk, you’re gaining too much fat. sit your cals around maintenance and just have higher protein intake. just because you want to get big doesn’t mean neglect cardio either. if you’re not getting stronger on bench you either need to drop the rep range and push it to FAILURE or back the weight down and focus on your technique. bench is one of the easier things to progressively overload.

Eggs in the morning, Chicken rice and veggies for lunch, and another protein heavy meal for dinner after practice really sounds like a shit diet to me, maybe I should just go eat pop tarts and a pound of candy

I have a great physique which I earned through sacrifice and hard work, it’s visually evident that something you are doing is not working at all. Next to zero changes in your physique from JANUARY 2025 all the way to DECEMBER 2025? Whether it’s your lifting, cardio or diet, you are doing something horribly wrong

Progress doesn’t come from denial, it comes from criticism of yourself. What can you be doing better? If your diet is right then you’re not training right. The problem with your training could be improper technique, it could be that you’re not pushing yourself to failure, it could be that you’re not recovering well. It’s up to you to look at your routine and figure it out man. I’m just telling you how I see it and you’re coming at me lmao

Well I think I’ve just been going through the motions at the gym tbh, never really tried too hard to up the weight, I realize that nowwww bc I challenged myself yesterday in the gym and def feeling it more than I have been, mostly mental block I think

Alright well let’s try focusing on really good technique and pushing it to failure!!! I recommend 6-8 reps with absolutely nothing left in reserve(with good technique ofc, don’t want you getting injured). When I hit plateaus that seems to work very well for me!

With things like chest I alternate days between flat variations and incline. And add in some types of flys, I like cable flys more than pec deck but that’s just where I feel the most tension. Shoulders I will either go heavy with the machine shoulder press or dumbells, and some sort of lateral raise i like cables a lot

It’s just frustrating bc I had alr commented “hey I’ve got a good diet for things now” and I get a bunch of “dirty bulk bad” “diet is atrocious”
