Any advice for dieting for protein gain while trying to burn fat and on a budget? I was originally super skinny so I’m glad to have gotten bigger but all that food I was eating put on some fat in addition to the muscle and now I’m trying to shred.

protein powder in smoothies, eggs, greek yogurt, boiled chicken breast, canned beans, nuts (not a lot of protein but it’s a good snack replacement that has protein), uhhhh, yeah that’s what i use tbh

Right? Like I was originally 130 so I’m glad to be at 180 but I’m pretty sure like 20 of that is fat lol

I have some whey powder that I haven’t really used so I’ll have to try that out, thanks for the recommendation!

Also- I wouldn’t recommend potatoes. They are high carb and not enough protein to be worth it. They take seasoning and butter to taste good, which is empty calories through a protein lens, unless you like them plain and boiled. Of course in moderation, everything is good, don’t deprive yourself. But being protein focused? A good rule of thumb is 10 calories per 1 gram of protein. For example, 100 calories of boiled chicken is about 20g of protein
