Why do my quads take so much longer to grow than my glutes, both in appearance and in progressive overload? I hit them HARD with intensity and use a variety of exercises - front squats, Bulgarians, leg extensions, hack squat…(not all in one session).

Just stick to 1 squat pattern. Switching it up constantly just makes it harder for your body to neurologically adapt to the movement and progress at that movement. Pick a single squat pattern and a leg extension, and leave it there

I also do more sets per week for quads compared to glutes because I’ve heard that since your quads are always supporting your body weight, that they shoood be worked more.

*I’ve also been lifting for 2 years now. Yes I’ve seen progress over the long term but it’s just so slow compared to my glutes
