This is noble thinking but honestly the reality of food pantries & shelves isnt super reflective of this. There is more than enough food to go around and if you meet a pantryโ€™s qualifications (if there are any) there is no reason not to go. If anything more demand increases funding and resources. this is coming from someone who helps coordinates a food pantry for a huge uni, obviously it depends on a vast number of factors but we always want people to come even if they arent starving to death
