What nobody talks about is the depression that comes with weight loss, because the only thing looking back at me in the mirror is the fat guy. I know the progress payed off, I know I lost a huge amount, but I never feel good enough.

I’m right there with you brother, it can get discouraging, but what helps me is to remind myself who I’m doing this for. I don’t know about you, but I’m doing this so I can be healthy, and strong, and be capable of protecting my household once I start a family, I wish you the best of luck my man, keep your head up you’re doing great

It’s the complete opposite for me tbh. If you can’t afford to speak with a professional, try looking up ways to build your self esteem. One way is to focus on your positive aspects when you look in the mirror. When you see the fat guy, say out loud “I’m physically strong.” “I’m mentally strong (to lose so much weight you have to be!).” “I’m handsome with nice [feature you like].” And so on every morning until you realize that it’s all true.

This is why progress pics are so important imo cause day to day ur gonna look the same if ur just looking in a mirror but real change happens over months and years not days or weeks
