my maybe hot gym take is idc what your max is, if you can’t put the plates away and just leave them on the machine/bar, it doesn’t count. imagine being too weak to put ur shit back

I couldn’t agree more about putting the weights away nothing irks me more than that in the gym, but saying a lift doesn’t count because of that is wild and doesn’t correlate whatsoever - PLEASE PUT YOUR WEIGHTS AWAY

Even leaving just one plate on some stuff because you think no one is weaker than that… you’d be surprised how often I see someone struggling to get that one off so they can work out too. Put the damn plates back

Let’s just say, some people need to work on their brain muscle a bit more than the others

too bad putting the weight back isn’t part of the set. if you wanna complain about people not putting their weights back then I can stand behind that but trying to bs your way into it with mind games or whatever is lame.

it pisses me off esp bc I’m a woman who’s been in the gym for a few years and I know exactly what it’s like to barely be able to bench the bar alone among other issues. SOMEONE is that weak, whether you see them or not, and doing that to them can make someone feel so awful and unwelcome - everyone should feel like they can better themself in the gym
