no hate just curious: i wonder if ppl who abuse(don’t need for medical care, just inject to lose weight) GLP1s(RETA, Ozempic, etc.) will be shamed like people who use steroids. isn’t it the same concept just the other way around? thoughts?

As someone who does both, steroids are much more dangerous and have a lot more side effects and permanent damage so I doubt it. Plus most of them aren’t even intended for human use while glps are fda approved or in trial to be

no not really GLPs are very different from steroids, and work in very different ways, as a younger person i am a bit of a snob for people who do use GLPs at my age but i think for older people using them can be helpful for them

Eh, steroids have primary negative effects on the human body (besides the muscle growth), while GLP1’s have primarily beneficial effects (visceral fat loss leads to much greater QOL and lifespan). Not saying it’s natural, but also not going to shame it (although I won’t applaud it like someone losing weight naturally).

🤣 it’s not “abusing” GLP1s to use them for weightloss. Some brands are SPECIFICALLY for weightloss & not diabetes. If you’re jealous of people losing weight faster & easier than you are then just say that. The hate for people getting healthy is insanely weird. Go talk to a psychiatrist or something instead of hating 🤷🏽‍♀️
