I’m a little overweight, but I just psyched myself up and ran 10 miles.

DAMN. Dude, if you're able to run 10 miles, you're extremely fit and healthy. Fuck the BMI. Don't even worry about your weight. Most underweight ppl ik can't even run 0.25 miles 😭

This is so kind, and I think you’re right. The BMI can fuck off. My doc has always been impressed with my resting heart rate. That said, I’m hoping/excited to drop some weight to run a little faster.

i'm 167 as a 5'4 female. definitely overweight and chubby. can run 10 miles pretty easily (at a 10 min per mile pace). i don't think the two things are all that related

Oh my gosh, goals. My ten miles were slower, but that’s good to know I don’t have to be underweight to be good at this sport.

yeah you definitely don't have to be. i'm a better runner (endurance wise) when i'm eating haha. but i do think i might be faster if i was less heavy 🤔 cuz i can't even run a single mile in under 8 minutes
