Eat in a caloric deficit while still getting around 0.8-1g of protein per lb of bw. Don’t eat in too big of a deficit however, and make sure you’re getting enough sleep. Priortize glutes at the beginning of your leg day, hip thrusts/rdls with machine/cable abductions are enough, but you could also add step ups or kickbacks.
For the abduction machine, I would recommend using a one second pause at the top and bottom of the movement, as it’s very easy to use sloppy form. However, this could used for any of the other exercises I mentioned, but it’s especially important on these as improper form on machine abductions can lead to piriformis syndrome in some cases.
