Kind of a vulnerable post but I’m needing some help. I’m struggling mentally right now and staying consistent feels impossible. How do I hold myself accountable when it feels like the discipline isn’t there anymore?

Create an overall goal/reason to why you go to the gym. Create smaller goals/checkpoints to reach to stack up wins to reach that goal. Rinse and repeat.

if you want, you can try and find someone to go to the gym with you at the same time, like a friend. you don’t have to work out together but just getting there helps a lot

For me, I kept going because every day that I went I felt like I at least accomplished one thing that day, showing up to the gym. Even if I didn’t do a big workout even if I just walked on the treadmill or something. I still showed up and at least did something that day even if that was the only thing, so that’s why I kept going. Then I never felt right when I would miss a day because I messed up my consistent routine and then I felt bad so I kept going
