i took squats out of my leg days for a while and i want to get back to squatting but i cannot hit depth to save my life, even body weight so i know its not the weight being too heavy any advice? i want to squat heavy but i cant get any lower

heel elevated? not even that has worked? if not squatting shoes then a plate behind your feet to put your heels on

ok thank you! i don’t have squatting shoes i usually squat in vans but i might want to try that i just dont know how set up would work

it is, idk it’s frustrating i can’t squat below like almost parallel even bodyweight. if i do goblet squats with a plate tho i can go all the way down

if you can get depth with a goblet then you should really try heel elevated back squats, it can be a little harder on the knees tho

ok thank you! i thank set up should be harder but i know my legs are strong enough to go heavy i just cant get my legs down like all the way when i dont squat heel elevated
