4 sets for 36 reps is absolutely banana bonkers. Have u ever tried 2 sets to failure?

A lot of redundancy

Itโ€™s a cycle split. So only 4 days of unique muscle groups but 8 days of unique movements. Keeps things interesting

Can you send the routine in a more close up format?

You have multiple exercises for biceps, and you cannot bias the individual heads. You do not necessarily need both a fly and a press movement to see growth. The same can be said for the multiple squat patterns and pulldown variations that all perform the same function of the lats.

I get what youโ€™re saying but I disagree slightly. I have pretty good mind-muscle connection and I do feel the difference heads of the biceps in depending on the movement. That said, the large variety of workouts is mostly to improve variety. Keeps things interesting and helps me avoid stagnation. Iโ€™ll attach smaller ss

As long as you progress on your lifts and are able to recover between each workout

Thatโ€™s the goal! Iโ€™m making sure to keep good track of progress, if I donโ€™t see any within a month Iโ€™ll make sure to change up

When did you start this program? Neural adaptations occur at the beginning of a new program and often end around 8-12 weeks in depending on the individual, which are signaled by progression in the exercise slowing down. I wouldnโ€™t be too hasty about exercise swaps.

Iโ€™m on day 2 of it. Iโ€™ve had other routines before but I didnโ€™t like the lack of variation so im trying something new. I get your point on adaption for sure, Iโ€™m not sure how that will pan out long run but Iโ€™m hoping having this cycle will keep it at bay longer than others have for me

Lmaoo, itโ€™s 36 reps *total* still way too many but I struggle finding balance between proper form and pushing really heavy on some movements. Thanks for calling it though it is something Iโ€™m working on

Ohh ok 4x8 ok sure. But yeah, for strength Iโ€™d suggest finding 2-3 sets where u can lift the weight controlled 5 times. As soon as you get to 8 reps, imo, give ur self a break, up the weight and try and get 5. Repeat. Genuinely๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ™

Ahaha no I appreciate it fs. Thatโ€™s my goal, 5-7 reps max weight till failure. I just donโ€™t want to sacrifice too much control for more weight so I end up going too low ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ thanks for the tips ๐Ÿซก
