How do I make sure I’m not using my biceps while doing pull-ups? I feel like that’s the reason I’m not progressing in with pull-ups

Drive through your elbows, don’t extend your elbows past about 120 degrees, and think about bringing your upper arm into your body. The action of the lats (arm adduction) is what you should focus on.
