so does a caloric deficit make anyone else suicidal like fr or is this just a me problem. i'm starting to notice a cycle of sh thoughts whenever i start taking my cal deficit seriously

i feel like the same thing happens to me and it’s usually a nutrition deficiency too, like not enough vitamin d/b12 or iron, gives me severe depression fr

Could also be a mental health issue always that you cope with food. So when you take the food away there's nothing left

are you restricting the type of foods that you can eat? some people just don’t do well with deficits and may respond better to just more intuitive eating without tracking calories

i don't restrict types of foods but try to prioritize protein and limit added sugars

(genuinely) do you think it’s more about the fact that you feel like you have to be in a deficit rather than the actual deficit itself? that’s driving these thoughts

just asking cause the only reason i’m in a deficit is because i hate my body. the actual deficit is buns but i hate myself enough to want to be on it lol
