Looking for advice I’m a girl overweight. Just started the gym, keeping other cardio exercises every other day. Been in a calorie deficit focusing on protein and I haven’t seen any weight loss. It’s been 3 weeks going on four.

Fat is turning into muscle, it is gonna take a bit to see it

make sure you are sleeping enough, tracking oils and everything you consume very accurately, and also allowing yourself to have enough rest days to recover! if you feel like you can, you could also increase your deficit (and make sure you eat enough fiber so you still feel full)

That isn’t true with the fat to muscle weight ratio and the only reason why u might not be losing weight is because you aren’t tracking everything and might be eating more then u know

How many steps are u getting in a day like is the cardio going up and down and not being consistent? And also it’s normal to not see a big drop in the scale the first few weeks.

Are you counting the butter you cook with?

Is it normal that my weight is increasing though?

Yes, muscle weighs more than fat, stick with it

Yea because muscle weighs a lot more than fat. But keep at it and you’ll shape up eventually. Just keep making sure you’re eating clean and at a deficit.

I’ve been tracking on multiple platforms. Sticking to the same light meals and eat as little as I can while cutting my biggest past problems of processed sugars. Like I stopped ice cream

I’d say try and increase ur steps honestly I wouldn’t freak out honestly unless ur 2 months in the cut without losing weight u can also try reworking ur calories but ur still in the beginning of ur cut so really nun to worry about plus u are a woman so its a lot different from a man since you guys less lean muscle than men trust me the weight will drop keep going

I cook with oil. And I’m not sure how much it is so I don’t count it

That’s a big problem right there oils sauces and butters can be a bunch of calories you have to track those

Look for the nutrition label on the back of them and they usually will have a serving sizes. After you get that you will measure it on your scale let’s say ur scale only has oz but the nutrition label has only the serving size in ml you will just convert it into oz then track it like that
