well it can be dangerous when the whole internet is obsessed with it. body dysmorphia, PED abuse, lack of eating for nutrients are some valid concerns. lt may be a little silly of them tho

I can’t find the exact article OP was talking about but NPR primarily has been warning against the misuse of supplements due to fitness influencers promoting products. Idk out of context it might worry some people but if you’re doing ur research and hitting the gym consistently you’re not gonna misuse anything (protein, creatine, lack of nutrients etc)
