Alright so I’m an obese 19 year old female and I’m really trying to feel happy in my body this summer. I’ve done a lot of homework on cal deficit, workouts, etc. but I want this to be a lifestyle change. Does anyone have any tips on how they do it? Thanks

lowkey all about the mindset. reevaluate your priorities and what you value as a person are you a person that takes care of themselves? someone who does the challenging things? someone who pushes themselves and tries to be a better person? are you the best version of yourself right now? a change in perspective is all you need for things to compound and change your life

1. switch to high protein and high fiber options of ur favorite foods/restaurants 2. start with just showing up; if u put on your gym shoes that's progress 3. learn how to warm up properly 4. do some research and journaling about how to make the process of nutrition and exercise more enjoyable for you 5. do stuff that helps with your mental health so you can trust the process more

make it sustainable. Being super focused on protein and macros and this and that takes brain power and you will get tired of it long term. Best to just keep in mind what has higher fat or carbs and opt for less than you'd have before. Instead of ranch used ranch packets in yogurt. Stuff like that where you don't notice the change most of the time

For me, I just started and kept going. Only like 9-10 months in, but am still going. Had weeks where I wasn’t loving it but kept going, there will be ups and downs but you can’t enjoy the benefits or the results without the downs and without the progression

acquire a taste for nutrients. it isn’t about eating less per say, it’s about eating efficiently. if your diet is made up of nothing except fruit veggies rice and meat, you don’t really need to track how much you’re eating, just eat as much of that as you comfortably can and work out hard, sleep 8 hrs, etc and you’ll see growth. Figure out what your weaknesses are and fix, i realized i have a problem with liquid calories so i decided all i will drink is black coffee, water, and sometimes diet c

losing weight becomes easy when you lose the “i have to drop this and that to lose weight” attitude and instead focus on eating healthy and whole. your body is a sports car. you put as much premium, 91 octane gas in it as it needs , you don’t starve it by giving it less and less cheap 85
