Realizing that I think I just hate barbell exercises. Trying to teach myself proper form at such light weights and getting limited by my mobility is making it hard to get good workouts in and stay motivated. Lowkey might just become a machine warrior

Outside of aura and just fun, barbells aren’t anything special for muscle growth. Coordination demands make them worse than most machines actually for just raw stimulus. Only reason I do it is because it’s fun, but yeah if that’s not something you enjoy, there’s no reason to force yourself to do them.

It's great for aesthetics but flexibility and stability is what you really need as you age
