Has anyone started a more serious gym habit WHILE in a serious long term relationship? My hypothesis is that it’s pretty rare but I want to see

This is kind of hilarious bc I never realized I don't go to the gym when my relationship is going well

My hypothesis comes from that I feel like starting a gym habit at least partially comes from a place of wanting external validation. And I don’t think people in relationships need that as much when you have a built-in person whose existence validates you.

I noticed when I started really putting in work my relationship started to die off. Im not even a gym rat I put in like a hour max a day with one or two rest days

Lmao I love that this implies that you take it more seriously when it’s not going good. Like you think to yourself “well that was our second fight this week…time to get the protein powder back out” 😭

This is unironically how my brain works. When I'm happy, I'm well fed + using the free time I would use on the gym on my gf

Wait did you start lifting before or after the relationship? I get you won your pro card, but I’d imagine you’d be lifting for multiple years before that
