Honest question. If a guy is around 390 pounds….wouldn’t cardio be the best way to lose weight? Or would weight training? Or a mixture between the two? Why works best~a guy that’s tired and tried seems like everything

The best way is a calorie deficit but yes cardio is great too

Combination would be great if you’re trying to get in better shape, tons of cardio and calisthenics would be what you’re gonna do if you want to just lose weight. Personally, I did a combination of cardio and weight lifting because I prefer to be big- with muscle.

As long as you keep your heart rate between 110 to 170ish, no matter what you’re doing, walking, lifting, etc, you will get results. I recommend lifting (muscle takes a ton of calories to sustain and chances are if you’re already moving your body weight, there’s muscle formed under it) and doing high heart rate BPM on a bike in intervals. “Sprint” exercises boost the right hormones better than cardio.
