Pull ups are a lot more form heavy than lat pull downs. Think leg presses/ squats, the Weight is the same and they work similar parts of the body but the form makes all the difference.

Pull-ups take a lot more form and stability to execute properly compared to a lat pulldown

If you still struggle after, I recommend dead hangs, Scapular Pull-ups, and Inverted Rows. Best of luck 💪🏻
